Ingredients:
- 1 kg Galbi cut bone-in beef short ribs (1 cm)
For the marinade:
- 3 tbs brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1 medium onion, cut into chunks
- 1 Asian pear, cut into chunks
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1–inch piece ginger
- 1 tbs ground black pepper
- 1 tbs toasted sesame oil
- 2 scallions, cut into sections
For serving (optional):
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced for garnish
- lettuce and perilla leaves
- steamed rice

- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- Gochuchang sauce
