Ingredients:
1 kg Galbi cut bone-in beef short ribs (1 cm)
For the marinade:
3 tbs brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup mirin
1mediumonion, cut into chunks
1Asianpear, cut into chunks
4 garliccloves
1–inch piece ginger
1tbs ground black pepper
1 tbstoasted sesame oil
2scallions, cut into sections
For serving (optional):
2scallions, thinly sliced for garnish
lettuce and perilla leaves
steamed rice
Korean side dishes
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Gochuchang sauce

For the marinade: In a blender or food processor, combine all marinade ingredients and process until well blended and smooth. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl with galbi cut beef ribs. Mix well and marinate for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours. Alternatively use 150g of provided CJ Beksul Galbi Marinade for Beef per 1kg of meat.

Preheat the grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add oil to the pan. Remove excess marinade from beef ribs and grill the short ribs for 3 – 4 minutes on each side. Watch closely not to burn them.

Serve with rice, lettuce leaves and other condiments if desired.
